Help LEB TV Document the Return to the Motherland

Closes on December 31, 2026
Description
Across the world, Afrodescendants are reconnecting with their African roots, rediscovering their heritage, returning to the motherland, and building new lives across the continent.
At LEB TV, we believe these journeys deserve to be documented—not only for those living them today, but also for future generations seeking to understand their origins, reconnect with their ancestral homeland, and discover the possibilities of belonging in Africa.
Through interviews with Afrodescendants who have returned to Africa, we document their personal journeys, their experiences of reconnection, their cultural immersion, the challenges they face, and the positive impact they are making in their host countries.
Every story matters. Every journey carries a lesson. Every experience helps build a deeper understanding of what it means to return, reconnect, and belong.
Two Major Events. One Mission.
In the coming months, LEB TV is preparing to cover two important events in Ghana and Benin that offer valuable opportunities for Afrodescendants and everyone interested in Africa's future.
1. Ghana: The Inaugural Open D.O.O.R. Dialogues
October 30, 2026 | University of Ghana, Legon
Under the theme “Come Home. Stay Home. Build Home,” the inaugural Open D.O.O.R. Dialogues will bring together people committed to advancing repatriation and national transformation.
LEB TV aims to bring audiences closer to the conversations, people, ideas, and opportunities shaping the future of returning to and building a life in Africa.
2. Benin: Vodun Days 2027
January 2–9, 2027 | Benin
Vodun Days offer an opportunity to experience and explore the spiritual traditions, cultural heritage, artistic expressions, and living practices that connect people to Benin and its history.
Through on-the-ground coverage, LEB TV will help Afrodescendants discover the culture, people, and experiences that await them in the motherland—even if they cannot travel to Benin themselves.
Be Our Eyes. Experience Africa With Us.
Not every Afrodescendant can afford the journey, take time away from work and family, or travel to attend these events.
Some are already living in Africa. Others are preparing to return. Many are still searching for a deeper connection with their ancestral homeland.
They may not be physically present, but they should not have to miss the experience.
That is why LEB TV wants to be their eyes and ears on the ground—bringing them closer to the people, places, conversations, traditions, and opportunities that matter.
With your support, we can travel, report, film, interview participants, and share these experiences through our digital platforms, making them accessible to Afrodescendants around the world.
Help Us Preserve These Stories for Future Generations
Your contribution will help LEB TV bring these important experiences to audiences who cannot be there in person.
You will be supporting more than event coverage. You will be helping preserve personal histories, amplify the voices of returnees, strengthen connections between Africa and its global diaspora, and create a record that future generations can learn from.
Every contribution brings us closer to our goal.
Support LEB TV. Help us document the return. Help us reconnect generations. Help Afrodescendants experience Africa, wherever they are.
Together, we can ensure that distance does not mean disconnection—and that these important stories are not lost to time.
